Welkinweir Estate Wedding | Karli & Matt

I’ve been looking forward to shooting at Welkinweir for the first time! I shoot at Anthony Wayne House quite a lot as most of you probably already know. I love shooting at JAM catering venues and Welkinweir is no exception. It is stunning and might actually be my new favorite. Everything about this location is so dreamy, quant and beyond romantic. I’m obsessed. I’m not kidding when I say I’m the luckiest photographer because I have the sweetest couples. Karli and Matt are 1. freaking adorable and 2. seriously and insanely sweet. Their bridal party particularly Karli’s girls were the kindest, chillest, and least dramatic bridal party ever! Karli didn’t have a maid of honor because she couldn’t pick and she loved them all so dearly. They honestly all deserved to be maids of honors. They are all gems!

Karli & Matt’s wedding day was filled with simple, elegant and classic details, lots of beautiful florals and greenery (from one of my favorite florists) it was beyond a perfect day even despite the rain. Welkinweir has a beautiful clear tent the ceremony got moved to last minute. It might have been what my couple had been dreaming of but I think it was still beautiful. I love when my couples enjoy their wedding day. After all the planning, the stress and the money your day finally arrives and rain or shine you can choose to still get the photos you want and still have the wedding you want. Your backup plan doesn’t have to be your settling plan. And Karli & Matt did just that!

Karli & Matt didn’t want to do a traditional first look and do the tap on the back. She asked if she could just come out the door and he’d be there. 1000% absolutely. In fact, I’m all about doing something outside the norm and I’m definitely about doing what feels right for you as a couple. I love when my couples have ideas and tell me what they want. Have a fun idea that’s new and different?? LET’S DO IT!

The rain was off and on throughout the afternoon so we had to be go with the flow and get what we can! Really thankful for everyones trust and corporation throughout the day.

The ceremony didn’t up being outside unfortunately due to the rain but I had to show off this gorgeous arrangement by Elizebeth Ivy. We're’ working together three weeks in a row and I’m loving it. Morgan, you are a dream to work with ascetically and personally. Can’t wait for our next one together.

I love getting another 5-10 minutes with my couples around sunset so 1. they can have another set of photos 2. they get photos with different lighting and usually different locations and 3. look at dat ring on your groom! Plus you get a little “alone time” to just snuggle and enjoy a moment away from the hustle and bustle of everyone. It a win win all around.
